We also collect information about your usage of the service, such as songs you add, tags you create, listening rooms you participate in, and your interactions with the YouTube embedded player. For anonymous room participation, we only collect your chosen nickname. We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session and preferences.
We use the information we collect to: (a) provide, maintain, and improve our services; (b) personalize your experience and music recommendations; (c) enable you to share music with others through listening rooms; (d) sync playback across room participants in real-time; (e) communicate with you about the service and respond to inquiries; (f) ensure compliance with our terms and prevent abuse.
Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption (TLS 1.3 for data in transit, AES-256 for data at rest). We use Supabase, hosted on secure cloud infrastructure, for data storage, authentication, and real-time features. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including regular security audits and access controls.
This service uses the YouTube API Services to search for videos and play content through the official YouTube embedded player. By using this service, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms) and Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). We access YouTube data solely to: (a) search for videos based on your queries; (b) display video metadata (title, thumbnail); (c) play videos through the official YouTube IFrame Player. We do not download, store, or modify YouTube video content. We only store video IDs and metadata references to enable playlist functionality. You can revoke our access to YouTube data at any time through Google's security settings (https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions).
When you create or join a listening room, your nickname and activity (adding songs, sending chat messages) are visible to other room participants. Room chat messages and queue history are stored temporarily and automatically deleted when the room is closed or after 24 hours of inactivity. Public rooms are discoverable by all users; private rooms are only accessible via direct link.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share data with: (a) Supabase (database and authentication); (b) Vercel (hosting); (c) YouTube/Google (video playback via API). These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data. In listening rooms, your chosen display name and activity are shared with other participants. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and users' safety.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Song and tag data is kept until you delete it or your account. Listening room data (chat messages, queue history) is automatically deleted when rooms close. You can request deletion of all your data at any time.
You have the right to: (a) access your personal data; (b) correct inaccurate data; (c) delete your data; (d) export your data in a portable format; (e) object to certain processing; (f) withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, use the account settings page or contact us directly. We will respond to requests within 30 days.
This service is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for international transfers, including standard contractual clauses where required.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page, updating the "Last updated" date, and optionally sending an email notification. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
